Top 5 African players to look at for as Euro 2020 continues...

As this year’s competition is being held in 11 cities in 11 UEFA countries to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the European Championship competition. Here are some exciting players to look out for at Euro 2020;

  • Memphis Depay - Netherlands & Ghana

Memphis Depay was born to a Ghanaian father and a Dutch mother. Depay made his international debut in a World cup qualification match in 2013 and has become an integral part of the Dutch national team. N’Golo Kanté was born in Paris as citizen of France, but he is originated from Mali.   • Manuel Akanji - Switzerland & Nigeria

Manuel Akanji was born in Switzerland as an half cast to a Swiss mother and a Nigerian father. The defender made two appearances for the Switzerland U-20 national team in 2014 and has grown to become a dependable centre back for the Swiss national team and Borussia Dortmund. He played the first game by helping Switzerland to secure a draw against Wales.

  • Romelu Lukaku - Belgium & Congo

Romelu Lukaku was born Congo in Central Africa and will represent Belgium at the Euros 2020. Romelu Lukaku is in the form of his life, having helped Inter wrest control of Serie A back from Juventus, outshining Ronaldo and Ibrahimović in the process. The striker scored 2 goals as Belgium opened their campaign with a 3:0 win against Russia at Euro 2020.

  • Bukayo Saka - England & Nigeria

Bukayo Saka was born in London to Nigerian parents. The young winger is not only the future of Arsenal, but also the English national team. He will be out to give the English team a nudge with some special Euro 2020 performances. Bukayo was an unused substitute in England’s win over Croatia.
